Pierre Alain Lema\u00eetre had an unconventional career path and astonishing life story. He has held a dozen different jobs over the years. Starting out as a professional musician, he went on to work as a psychologist, conducted sociological researches, lead reorganizations related to computerization, developed improvements of service quality, and even serve as an expert in the detection and prevention of financial fraud. Tireless globetrotter with a keen interest in the cultures of peoples Pierre Alain Lema\u00eetre designed and implemented professional training programs in some thirty countries across Europe, the Americas, Africa, and Asia. His adventures have been truly extraordinary. He taught at international graduate schools and universities, all over the world, sailed across the Atlantic\u2026 and led a nonprofit organization that enabled hundreds of women in India to earn a living from the embroidery they created.<\/span>\n

Pierre Alain Lema\u00eetre has just published his seventeenth book, *Maintaining Peace?*, a fiction novel that is both dark and hopeful: On a planet of the future, conflicts are escalating between industrialized societies with declining populations and poor countries, whose young people are willing to do anything to escape poverty, but run into borders and rejection. The elders -some of whom hold political power- turn a blind eye. Yet a group of young people from different backgrounds and with different beliefs -Sophia, Linda, Terry, Mohan, and their friends- refuse to give up and are doing everything they can to curb the escalating violence and establish harmony and lasting peace.<\/span><\/p>\n

Previously, Pierre Alain Lema\u00eetre published \u00ab\u00a0Une vie de Baby-Boomer\u00a0\u00bb, relating his astonishing life. He had many difficulties to overcome and extraordinary adventures.
